WHEN SHOULD I COME?
Joining us for adult discipleship classes? People start to arrive around 9:30 AM on Sunday and gather upstairs on the second floor. Classes begin upstairs around 9:45.
Our service begins at 11:15 AM in the sanctuary, but we have coffee and other refreshments in the welcome lounge and the basement at 10:45 AM.
HOW DO I GET THERE?
See our locations
page for a map and our address.
Here is a link
to the OC Transpo bus travel planner. Confused by how to use it? Let us know and we'll be happy to help.
WHERE DO I PARK?
We have a small parking lot on site for seniors and visitors. If that is full, there is a parking lot on the south side of Graham Avenue in which you can park. Additionally there is street parking around the church.
WHAT IS YOUR SERVICE LIKE?
Our services are somewhat relaxed, and include preaching and teaching from the Bible, responding with praise and worship, prayer, and more.
After the sermon, our worship team leads us in a time of response. During this time, any believers in Christ who have professed their faith through baptism are invited to receive the items for the Lord's Supper as they are passed, which we celebrate together at the end of the service. There is also an offering bag passed around, but this is more for regular attenders and members. As a visitor, please do not feel obliged to give. Also, those who would like to pray with the Pastor or with other members can approach the front row during this time, or you can speak with the Pastor after the service.
Please feel free to sit or stand when we sing as you feel comfortable.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Feel free to wear whatever you find comfortable. Many go casual with street clothes, while others dress up a little. In the summer, we are a bit more relaxed and people often come in shorts and sandals. Once in a blue moon someone will dust off their suit. It's up to you!
WHERE SHOULD I GO UPON ARRIVING?
Joining us for adult discipleship classes? People start to arrive around 9:30 AM on Sunday and gather in the Welcome Lounge on the main floor. Classes begin upstairs around 9:45, and Pastor Dan will be there to help direct people to different classes as they begin. If you have elementary school-aged children that would appreciate a childrens' program, you can bring them directly to the basement to sign in with our childrens' ministry.
Our service begins at 11:15 AM in the sanctuary, but we have coffee and other refreshments in the welcome lounge and the basement at 10:45 AM. A greeter will help you find your way once you arrive. Don't be alarmed if it looks like all sorts of people are leaving when you arrive; the Chinese (Mandarin) service ends before ours starts, and some of them will be making their way out of the building. We apologize in advance that our entrance can be a bit of a bottleneck.
ARE THERE PROGRAMS FOR MY KIDS?
See Sunday School
(for ages 3 to grade 12).
WHAT IF MY KIDS ARE 2 OR YOUNGER?
Little ones are welcome to stay in the service, but if they get fussy we also have a nursery/playroom for you to take them if you wish. The service is streamed through a video system.
CAN MY CHILDREN ATTEND THE ENTIRE SERVICE?
Children are welcome and encouraged to attend the service alongside their parents. There is optional space and seating at the back of the sanctuary for young families. We don't mind if your children need to make a little noise.
WHERE ARE THE RESTROOMS?
Restrooms are located in the basement near the kitchen and off of the welcome lounge on the 1st floor.
HOW ACCESSIBLE IS YOUR BUILDING?
Yes! the building is fully accessible with a lift between floors. If you require the lift, please speak to one of our greeters.
WHEN DO YOU MOVE TO THE NEW LOCATION?
We're here! Our permanent home is now 31 Graham Avenue.
WHO CAN I TALK TO ABOUT NEXT STEPS?
Please send Pastor Dan an email
or speak with him after the service if you are interested in knowing more about God, growing in your faith, baptism, becoming a member of the church, or anything else. He would love to chat!
Weekly prayer lists and announcements are sent out through our mailing list.
The bulletins handed out at the service also contain a bunch of news & announcements, information about the connect groups, and more!
