Ottawa Chinese Bible Church (OCBC) is seeking a passionate, spiritually mature, and Christ-centered individual to serve as our Youth Pastor. We are a growing, multi-generational church committed to making disciples and nurturing the next generation to know, love, and follow Jesus Christ.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

·       A Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited evangelical seminary.

·       Experience in youth and children’s ministry.

·       A clear calling from God for pastoral ministry.

·       Ability to communicate in Chinese is an asset.

·       Full agreement with the Evangelical Free Church of Canada (EFCC) Statement of Faith (Please refer to “What We Believe” under the “About” section on our website).

Position Details

Title: Youth Pastor

Term: Three-year renewable contract

Responsibilities

The Youth Pastor will:

·       Preach at the English Sunday Service.

·       Teach and lead Youth Sunday School and Youth Fellowship.

·       Support and provide guidance for Children’s Sunday School.

·       Provide spiritual care, mentorship, and discipleship to children and youth.

·       Provide teaching, mentorship and pastoral care to OCBC’s Chinese Student Fellowship, serving students approximately 16–26 years of age.

·       Perform other duties as assigned by the Church Board.

Compensation

Annual compensation ranges from CAD $36,000 to $52,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and ministry training.
